Step-by-step help can unblock a concept, but following a hint is not the same as solving a new problem independently. The strongest check is a fresh example after the explanation.
Diagnose one gap at a time
When a topic feels difficult, begin with a representative problem and identify the step that becomes unclear. Then use the relevant explanation instead of watching an entire sequence without a question in mind. Returning to a fresh problem afterward shows whether the explanation helped. This targeted pattern is a stronger basis for assessing the resource than counting the number of videos completed during a study session.
