About this app
Source-based review · 2026-10-22 — Feature descriptions below are attributed to the publisher. Our assessment is analysis of public information, not a hands-on test.
Google Fit describes activity tracking, Heart Points and phone or watch measurements.
An activity score is a summary, not the whole picture
A single score can make trends easier to notice while hiding differences in device wear, exercise type and missing records. Compare like-for-like days before interpreting a change.
Make comparisons under similar conditions
If one day's activity comes from a phone left on a desk and another day's comes from a worn device, a lower total may reflect recording conditions rather than behavior. Check the source and completeness of the record first. This kind of context is more useful than reacting immediately to a score. The app can organize observations, but interpreting them still requires knowledge of how they were collected.
Privacy & Data Safety
Review which connected apps can read or write activity data; duplicate sources can complicate both privacy and interpretation.
Checks before you commit
Record the same ordinary walk on several days and inspect the activity entries, not just the summary score. Investigate missing sessions before changing a routine.
Editor's Assessment
